Bentonville Schools
Bentonville’s school system has been widely recognized for excellence and is considered to be one of the top school districts in the State of Arkansas. Recently, Bentonville High School was named by the Department of Education as a “No Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon School.” This is one of the most coveted education awards in the country. The opening of Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, 21c Museum Hotel, Scott Family Amazeum and the recent Bentonville Film Festival attended by many of Hollywood’s royalty, has identified the city as a hub for art and culture.
Parks and Recreation
Since 2007, the city has built seven new parks. A 2.5 mile shared-use trail now connects recreational enthusiasts to the 36 mile Northwest Arkansas Razorback Regional Greenway, which links residents to many popular destinations in five major cities. Bentonville recently opened the Bentonville Community Recreation Center, an 80,000 square foot facility serves residents of all ages. A aquatic center featuring a zero-depth entry, family leisure pool and a 25 yard, competitive pool, a fitness center, dance/aerobics studio, gymnasium, indoor running track, community rooms and arts and craft room are some of the amenities offered.
Commute
Interstate 49 connects Bentonville with the rest of the major cities in northwest Arkansas. Most residents have less than a 30-minute commute. Ozark Regional Transit provides public transportation via bus and van.
